Sharlene
Raised on the mission field, Sharlene asked Jesus into her heart when she was a little girl. Her family ministered in 11 different countries, while based in England, India, and Israel. Seeing people of every nation be radically transformed by the Word and Love of God was birthed in her from those early years of traveling with her parents.
Sharlene was just four years old when her parents asked her to sing her favorite song, “Jesus loves me this I know”. She will never forget the sight of a room full of students sitting on a dusty floor, in the heat of an Indian summer, being touched by the love of God through her song. From that day, something was birthed inside of her that she would never be able to extinguish. The compassionate love of God for all people. That is the core of who Sharlene is and why she completed Advanced Missionary Training with Overland Missions, attended Victory Bible College, and has her Associate Degree from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Christian Leadership. Most importantly, that compassion drove her to bring hope to the hopeless– ministering in 27 nations. Alongside her husband, Jared, she was on the ministerial team and held an accounting role for the Los Angeles Dream Center and Angelus Temple. Sharlene has always wanted everyone to know they are fully known by their Creator and wants to see their lives completely transformed by the power of His Love. RISE Nations is every bit of her dreams come true.
Jared
Jared will never forget the day he stepped into church for the first time as an adult. That day he was met with the transformational power of the Gospel. Since then, he has been passionate about seeing lives completely changed by the love of Jesus Christ.
Joining the military at 18, Jared became a Navy Nuclear Mechanical Engineer. His career in power engineering was very lucrative. He laid it all down to accept the call of God to make disciples of all nations. Being raised in the Midwest of America, Jared was brought up to put others before himself. This birthed inside of him a love for all people. He took up the call of God on his life, and the DNA of the Gospel was ignited in him and he burned with passion to see all of God’s creation know His love. He has given every spare moment he has to serving the Kingdom of God. Jared was on the ministry team of his home church in NY and soon was leading expeditions into developing regions of India. After marrying his wife, Sharlene, they moved to Los Angeles. There, he was the men’s pastor for Angelus Temple and the Dream Center where he was able to minister into the lives of people straight off the street, fresh out of jail, and all who wanted to deepen their relationship with God. Jared brings this passion into RISE Nations– the passion for the power of the Gospel to be revealed to all nations and tribes.
